Starlight Knitting Society is the newest Portland yarn shop by former Lint owner, Melissa Nelson.  We are a cozy neighborhood shop stocked with yarns you'll love, friendly staff and great space to hang out.  Come by and have some tea with us as you knit by the fire.

CLASSES

Our Classes are held inside our cozy shop at 7028 SE 52nd Ave. Refreshments are always available. Some classes have minimum and maximum enrollment requirements, so please sign up early to ensure your spot.  All students receive a 10% discount on class supplies.

We want everyone to have the opportunity to learn to craft, so scholarships are available for all of our classes. You can let us know if you need assistance by sending us an email.

Subversive Cross Stitching with Junebug and Darlin - Saturday, October 21. 1-3pm

Learn to cross stitch with confidence. Participants will receive a unique cross stitch kit by Junebug and Darlin (chosen upon registration).
In this class we will go over all of the basics of cross stitching including reading your pattern, using all of the tools in your kit, stitching your way through the design and finishing your make like a pro. This class is great for novice and experienced makers alike, with time to stitch, chat and trade tips and tricks. You will leave the class with the tools needed to tackle your next project with ease. All supplies included.


Instructor: Zoe Frost

 

Zoe is a queer femme currently living in Portland, Oregon, making it as an artist and graphic designer. She believes that art should be useful, crafting should be for everyone and, above all, everything should have a queer agenda.
