Level 2: Must be comfortable knitting in the round, working on small needles, and familiar with short rows.

Learn toe-up sock knitting from one of the obsessed! Throughout this three-week course, Shannon will teach you Judy's Magic Cast on, how to work a rounded toe, where and how to increase for the heel, how to turn a heel, and how to work a stretchy bind-off. Students can use two circulars OR one long (32" or 40") circular needle.

Instructor: Shannon Squire

Class Homework: Please do some swatching to be sure you're getting gauge prior to class. Gauge goal: 35 stitches and 50 rows to 1 inch. Swatching in the round is highly preferable.

Materials: 250-300 yards of fingering-weight yarn, appropriate for sock knitting (generally, a super wash merino with a small percentage of nylon or a high twist is preferable for sock knitting); US1 (or size to get gauge) circular needles; stitch markers; a pen to take notes; Shannon Squire's Sundae Sock pattern.
