We can all agree that yarn is pretty much the greatest. We fill our homes and wardrobes and hands with the stuff. Come enjoy an informational talk about what makes the yarn we use so wonderful. We'll discuss fiber and the ways it can be spun. We'll also talk about how different fibers behave when knitted and why there's room in our hearts for them all.
The Hikari trunk show is coming to Starlight! This 5-piece collection is a collaboration between the Fiber Co. and Japanese knitwear designer michiyo. Each garment in this collection is worked up in The Fibre Co.’s Meadow yarn, a textured blend of baby llama, silk, linen and fine Merino wool. Hikari, or ‘light’ in Japanese, is a perfect name for the collection as it represents the lightness of the yarn and the lovely fabric it creates.

In this lecture we will talk about how to plan well for good outcomes and how to recover from some of the things likely to threaten your knitting bliss. Folks who will benefit are knitters with any skill level who would like to arm themselves against disasters.
